The Master´s Degree in Environmental Education is directed to professionals in diverse disciplines and related sciences such as: Biology, Environmental Engineering, Energy System Engineering, Anthropology, Education, Humanities, Tourism, Public Administration and Sociology among others.
Objectives
Objective
Form professionals that contribute to sustainable development by generating intervention solutions and research in environmental education with a multidisciplinary perspective in accordance with the most highly values on environmental ethics.
Specific objectives
- Promote the capacity of description, analysis, synthesis, and criticism of the situations and environmental problems that contribute to the development of possible initiatives and solutions.
- Develop the capacity for creation and innovation in accordance with the proposals on formal and non-formal environmental education to achieve more efficiency in the teaching-learning process.
- Potentiate the knowledge and abilities for the development of the environmental research process that contribute to consolidate the theoretical fundamentals to enhance environmental education.
- Provide with the theoretical-methodological tools that will allow the efficiency in the development of the process of diagnosis, planning, instrumentation and assessment of projects focused on, from an environmental perspective, oriented to the sustainable development and the improvement of life quality of the individuals and the community.
Profiles
The graduate of this licentiate is a professional with expertise in the English language, and also in:
- The culture of the United States and Great Britain.
- Methodology in the teaching of foreign languages.
- General Linguistics and other areas of linguistics.
- Fundamental knowledge of French and /or translation English-Spanish and/or the fundamentals to initiate in the translation area.
- Teaching, methodological and linguistic research.
Also to have developed abilities to:
- Design and revise English language courses in accordance to specific objectives and the needs of the course in concern.
- Instrument, apply and/or improve in a creative and flexible manner the methods that adapt to the needs of each course.
- Facilitate the teaching-learning process by the use of adequate methodology and techniques.
- Analyze, revise, and design material and support means appropriate to the objectives and particular needs of the course.
- Do research in teaching, on methodology or linguistic in order to improve teaching.
- Design and/or adapt instruments for the evaluation of the objectives and necessities of each course, visualizing them as a tool for feedback that will allow the adjustments during the process.
